How Energy Directory builds provider profiles

Energy Directory uses public sources, relevant registers, company records and provider websites to build structured provider profiles.

Evidence classes

Provider-described services are not silently converted into independently verified claims. Register, licence and company-identity evidence keeps its own source and checked date.

Profile states

Unclaimed means the profile was created from public evidence. Claimed means an authorised representative has completed the claim process. Directory-checked means specified fields were checked against recorded sources. None of these states is an endorsement.

Commercial separation

Payment cannot increase evidence confidence, create Directory-checked status or create delivery-partner authority.

Corrections

Claims and corrections enter editorial review and do not automatically overwrite published evidence.
